A Dream

And there I fly through the sunlit sky, holding my father’s hand as I brush my shoes through the sawdust covered floor. As I look up, I see my grandfather with his long carving knife slicing off a piece of baloney that he hands to me on the end of that long knife. Oh, so good. We leave as dad shuffles through the sawdust whispering, the women come and go talking of Michelangelo...Suddenly I’m home in my bed, and Mom is flying on the carpet with Dad, and they arrive in Venice for a drink at Harry's Bar. A boat ride out to the Lido where in Evening Gown and Tux they sit at the Black Jack Table to win thousands, before leaving for the Algarve where Mom looks great topless in her string bikini. Dad keeps his eye on her except for looking at a few topless beauties passing by. They seem to float away as the sun shines in my eyes and the alarm goes off.
